Rev. Phillip E. Hucks Ordained September 12, 2002

I became ordained to help a couple of friends. They wanted to get married and didn't feel comfortable doing it in church. I told them one day that I'd always wanted to get ordained and they said if I could figure out a way to do that then they would love for me to do the ceremony. I did some research and found the ULC. I read everything there was about the site and what it took to become ordained and the information I found was great.

After getting ordained on September 12, 2002. I told my friends and I was the minister at their wedding. Since that time I've done several more weddings and spoke at a funeral for a friend's mother. I have a degree from the ULC in the Philosophy of Religion which I achieved September 18, 2003. I've always felt I was a spiritual man and have taken it upon myself to learn about all religions. I believe if you learn about a persons religion then you will have a better understanding of who they are and what drives them.

As a long time member of ULC, Rev. Long created the seminary site to help train our ministers. We also have a huge catalog of Universal Life Church materials.  As an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church for many years and it's Seminary since the beginning, I've enjoyed watching the continual growth of the seminary.
